Comprehensive Neurological Exam

Not every pet needs an MRI. That's why one certain cases we begin with a thorough neurological evaluation designed to identify where the problem is occurring within the nervous system. By assessing gait, balance, reflexes, coordination, cranial nerve function, strength, and pain responses, we can often determine whether the issue originates in the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, or musculoskeletal system. This examination helps ensure your pet receives the most appropriate diagnostic testing, treatment recommendations, and ongoing care.

Determining Your Pet's Scan

Our Medical Director will review your pet's medical records and determine the best scan option.  On complex cases your pet will be scheduled for a free comprehensive neurological/orthopedic exam prior to the scan.

Pre-MRI Preparation

Once the appropriate scan(s) are chosen, you'll be sent dietary instructions for your pet to follow on the day of the scan.  In most cases, bloodwork anesthesia has already been completed.  If still needed, your vet can complete this quick process.

Images and Results

Once the MRI is completed, both you and your vet will receive a written report from a board-certified veterinary radiologist within 48 hours.  Our team will follow up with the treating vet to facilitate treatment options.

When MRI Is The Gold Standard

Seizures

MRI provides the most detailed view of the brain, allowing veterinarians to accurately detect tumors, inflammation and other structural abnormalities that otherwise can't be detected.

Chronic Neck Pain

MRI provides a detailed view of the spinal cord, discs and surrounding soft tissue, allowing precise identification of disc disease, nerve compression and other conditions that simpler imaging often miss.

Leg Dragging / Lameness

MRI reveals detailed soft tissue and joint abnormalities - such as ligament issues, disc disease, tendon damage and early bone changes - that are often invisible on X-rays alone.

Nasal Disease

Unresolved sneezing, nasal discharge and nose bleeds can be caused by fungal infection, foreign body or a nasal tumor - all detectable through MRI.

Ear Disease

Chronic ear infections, head tilt, loss of balance, and facial nerve paralysis can indicate disease deep within the middle or inner ear. MRI provides detailed imaging of these structures to identify the underlying cause and guide treatment.

Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD)

MRI is the gold standard for diagnosing slipped or ruptured discs, identifying spinal cord compression, and determining the exact location and severity of the injury to guide treatment decisions.

"Great price! Can't thank them enough!!!! They SAVED my dog!!! ... I scheduled an MRI .... and they found she had Meningitis, not epilepsy so we were able to adjust treatment. Without that notification she would have died!!!!"  -Kim M, pet owner

WHY MRI SUCEEDS WHEN OTHER TESTS FAIL

Superior Diagnostics

Our 1.5T 16x magnet is the same found in most human hospitals.  One scan can pinpoint the exact cause of your pet's symptoms and guide your vet to the right treatment.

Answers In 48hrs

Instead of spending weeks (and $1,000s) on tests and therapies that might not address your pet's symptoms, a single MRI can deliver a clear diagnosis—usually within 48 hours.  That means less waiting, less guessing, and faster relief for your pet.
